With discretionary wealth management, you delegate day-to-day investment decisions. We manage your portfolio within an agreed mandate. Your goals, finances, knowledge, experience and risk tolerance define the framework. You retain visibility of how your investments develop.
Setup and custody
Your portfolio is set up through a custodian bank. Management and custody serve different roles. Before you start, we explain the bank involved, the account setup and applicable terms and risks. Using a custodian does not remove investment risk.
Risk is part of investing
Prices can fall. Interest rates, currencies, liquidity and concentration also influence outcomes. Diversification may reduce certain risks but does not prevent losses. We discuss losses you can afford financially and tolerate emotionally. Returns and capital preservation are not guaranteed.
Who we work with
An approach for your circumstances.
Entrepreneurs
You have sold your business.
You want to reconsider the role your wealth will play in future plans. We discuss what needs to remain available and what you can invest for the longer term.
You want to invest your personal wealth with care.
You are looking for a personal approach with clear agreements on goals, risk and time horizon. We bring these principles together in your investment mandate.
We look at the business behind a share: its business model, financial position, prospects and valuation. An attractive company is not automatically an attractive investment; price and risk matter too. This aligns with Aberfeld’s fundamental investment approach.
A coherent portfolio
We assess a portfolio as a whole, considering the allocation across investments and risks that may accumulate. Suitable instruments depend on your mandate. Regular review and adjustments where needed are part of considered management.
Clear about costs from the start.
A clear view of total costs.
Before you begin, you receive a personal fee proposal covering the management fee and other applicable costs. We explain how these relate to the structure of your portfolio.
Wealth management
The fee for managing your portfolio.
Custody and transactions
Banking and trading costs under your account terms.
Investment instruments
Any costs within the investments used.

Our approach, services and principles, clearly brought together.
Stadspoort Asset Management is a trading name of Aberfeld Asset Management B.V. We focus on personal wealth management for entrepreneurs, private clients and family offices.
What is the minimum investment?
Wealth management at Stadspoort is available from €50,000. During our introductory conversation we discuss whether investing suits your situation, goals and capacity for risk.
Who manages and who holds my investments?
Management is performed under your agreement with Aberfeld Asset Management B.V. Investments are held through a custodian bank. We explain the exact setup, responsibilities and terms before starting.
Are my returns guaranteed?
No. Investing involves risk and you can lose money. Diversification and professional management do not guarantee returns or preservation of your investment.
Can I switch from another manager?
We are happy to discuss this. We review your existing portfolio, account and terms. Transfers can take time and incur costs; some positions may need to be sold. We agree the process with you in advance.
What does wealth management cost?
You receive an individual fee proposal in advance. Besides the management fee, consider custody, transaction and product costs and taxes. Final Stadspoort rates are still to be confirmed.
Does the language choice mean you accept clients everywhere?
No. The website provides information in four languages. Whether we can serve you depends in part on your country of residence, circumstances and applicable rules. We assess this during the introductory process.
